the joy of strength training

Hassle me to go to the gym!

Ever needed motivation to go to the gym? Wish someone would give you a prod every time you think about giving training a miss?

Well, you could always try Hassle Me, a service that sends you an email on a regular basis to remind yourself to do something.

Or better yet, add a friend’s email address if you think they need to work out a bit more often!

LOL what I lack in natural strength and good genetics I make up with motivation.

Here are the things that motivate me:

    1. My mum has severe osteoporosis and I have been diagnosed with osteopenia, therefore weight training which is the best for building and retaining bone mass is essential.

    2. I am vain and I want to look hot.

    3. If I have visible muscle men who are insecure and sexist will not want to date me.

    4. I successfully avoided the middle age spread.

    5. Even though I am weak compared to elite female lifters, I am still much stronger than most women my age.

    6. I like to annoy sexist and ignorant men and other haters with my training.

    7. Three years ago my now ex husband told me that I would quit in two months.

    8. I dont want to end up in a nursing home with broken hips and people feeding me mushy food and talking down to me.

    9. I can fit into skinny jeans and rock a bikini while being able to eat properly.

    10. My ex husband wanted me to be fat and flabby so that no other man would look at me, even though he knew that I had osteopenia.

Love it – lifetime of motivation right there! It’s amazing how far hard work and motivation can get you.
